Installment 4: Sachic

Rose Parker, the sister: she was the key to unraveling the mystery. He could feel it in his bones, and his senses had never before failed him. For several days he watched from a distance, and his suspicions were eventually confirmed. Rose was involved with a surprising and formidable force who went by the name “Sachic”. As a self-granted title, Tenebra hadn’t the faintest idea what it meant, but it didn’t really matter. That particular face was one he recognized from a mission in Belgrade three years prior. As a highly skilled mercenary who cast his skills to the highest bidder, Sachic was a name Tenebra would love to see added to his list.

Perhaps he will get in the way…

Wishful thinking, thought somewhat realistic in this particular instance. Sachic was a variable, a rogue element that would likely need discreet handling before Emma could be removed from the board.

The tall man sighed and leaned back in the hotel room chair as he stared at that MacBook screen. Though the puzzle pieces were forming, how exactly Emma played into it all still remained a mystery. He was certain that at least some of the clues were hidden within the documents that the sisters had exchanged a few days prior, but they were both careful. Hacking into their respective email accounts had revealed nothing substantial.

Intelligent, or paranoid…?

If the former, it spoke to some level of training, which would mean the involvement of a foreign government or agent…

That’s it.

He blinked as he withdrew the small tablet that was his lifeline in situations like this. A few swift strokes brought him to a massive database. Flight records with manifests was his destination on this particular occasion.

Flight 117: Emma Swanson and Rose Parker…

Both women had traveled to Sverdlovsk in Russia just three weeks prior to his being assigned Emma as his next target. Whatever had happened there had been enough to cause her name to cross his list.

Tenebra smirked as he leaned back and sighed.
